About Us: Founded in 2023, Mae's Wonderful World Inc. 501(c)(3) non profit charity is an animal rescue sanctuary based in Chapel Hill, NC. We offer forever sanctuary to a pack of formerly homeless vulnerable hound dogs, bunny rabbits, guinea pigs, and cats who have been rescued from across the Southeast USA and pulled out of rural kill shelters. Most all of our bunnies and guinea pigs have been transferred to us from our local partner the Orange County Animal Shelter here in Chapel Hill, NC, while others have been surrendered by former owners from our community. We are grateful to the FOOD LION of Briar Chapel in Pittsboro, NC for partnering with us and donating biweekly greens and produce to our pigs and bunnies! As a family owned and operated local non profit, we welcome any donations and support from our community to help continue our rescue operations, day to day on the ground care and animal outreach!
